A few of the many elements that we pride ourselves in as an AMA Chapter is Fundraising and Community & Social Impact. OnMark doesn't miss a beat when it comes to community service in the Oneonta community! Our members volunteer at many community fundraisers such as local 5k's, Relay for Life, Oneonta campus events and more! Our club holds bake sales, car washes, t-shirt sales and other fundraising events every month here at Oneonta!
Members who participate and serve in our fundraising and community events receive points toward their invitation to the AMA International Collegiate Conference
in New Orleans.
Fundraising
Buffalo Wild Wings
This Semester we were lucky enough to join with Buffalo Wild Wings and host a fundraiser where 20% of each bill went to our organization to help fund our future events.
Clothing Sale
Later in the semester we will be selling crewnecks to the oneonta students
Make A Wish Foundation
This year we will be donating money to the New York chapter of Make-A-Wish Foundation for children with critical illnesses. We will also be organizing virtual events to raise awareness about this cause.
First Annual Oneonta Halloween Costume Competition
This year we are hosting our first annual halloween costume competition where children in the community will dress up in costumes and submit photos on halloween yo compete in this competition in hopes of winning a prize.
Holiday Gift Wrapping
Every holiday season, we volunteer to gift wrap presents for Oneonta students to give to their family and friends.
Outreach To Local Students
OnMark members engage in instructive endeavors in support of local elementary and high school students.
Safety Kits
We will be preparing small COVID-19 safety kits to give to churches and others in need around the community.
Project Linus
This year we are taking part in the Project Linus Event which provides blankets to the Albany and Rensselaer Chapter of Project Linus. We will be providing members with access to the materials needed for them to create homemade blankets for children in need.
J.A.C.K.
This year we raised money for J.A.C.K. (joining against cancer in kids) a UK based organization that aims to provide advice and support for children and families undertaking innovative treatments for neuroblastoma.
